waiting for Jack

Dear friends - our journey continues.

Today we met with our guide from the agency to discuss plans for the upcoming week. As we expected, we do not have an official date yet for the giving ceremony. It looks like it will be later on in the week, possibly Thursday. The plan (at the moment) is to travel down to Tra Vinh on Tuesday and meet the babies and continue with more paper work. We would then return to Ho Chi Minh city that evening and leave again for the giving ceremony (hopefully Thursday). If the giving ceremony is not until Thursday, we likely won't return to Canada until closer to July 12/13 - again that could change. As we mentioned, this process unfolds on a day by day basis and we have to accept by faith what comes our way and that things will unfold as they need to. We have found it a blessing (somewhat) to have a few days orienting ourselves with the city we are in and acclimatizing ourselves to the very hot and humid conditions..... not to mention, learning how to cross the street (!)

Jack awaits us and we await Jack. Soon we are to be in each others company.

Sunday, 3.00pm UK time.
Back in the de Vere Hotel computer suite ...we had a superb evening with Sam & Walid. The manager provided complementary champagne to celebrate E&R becpming grandparents. Today there was a complementary bottle of wine with our lunch. The hotel staff are following the journey to Jack.

Mum & Dad want to know if Nessa has bought Jack a NUNNEL?!!!

They will try to send a message on Tues when they come here for coffee - then on Thurs they will have their own Broadband connection!

We hope you are enjoying the sights & sounds and have a safe journey on Tuesday to meet Jack - what a wonderful occasion that will be.

God bless, love E&R xxxx

I have been anxious to get to the office this morning and see the Blog. Hurrah!!! Congratulations. We are SO happy for you and are very excited to see you both and Jack. Another little person in your lives. I can't imagine the wonder, strangeness, joy ... the emotions and feelings must be like nothing you expected.
I still try and picture everything and I am sure I am completely wrong, but it is so fun to do. SO glad you are keeping in touch.
Much love
