Day By Day

We continue each day taking time to visit various places through the city. There is always a lot of hussle and bustle with all kinds of people quickly moving about on motorcycles and other vehicles. The big advantage of our hotel is its location in the heart of the city. We are close to just about everything, with numerous shops, sites, restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The weather continues hot and humid, and just about everyday around 3pm the dark storm clouds roll in and the heavens open wide.

Jack continues to take in the world around him. He is becoming more and more comfortable with us and his surroundings. He is laughing more and playing with simple toys, like a ball or a rattle.

We received the Vietnamese passport for Jack and this along with the Canadian VISA application has been sent off to Singapore. One more step along the way. Our return date has now been set for Thursday, July 12 - although, like everything else that could change.

blessings
Vanessa, Taylor & Jack

Hurrah!
We're so pleased that progress has been made. Each step must be frustrating, as you have no control.
Ah well time to get to know each other and to gather memories for the times Jack will say,"Tell me how you found me, Tell about....." And kids do want those stories told over and over.
Love to you three,
M'El, Cam, Andrew & Meg
p.s. the Bucks are reading and watching and send their best wishes.

July 12 seems close on the calendar but light years away in reality. You will likely feel such a sense of relief once you get on that plane for home. Glad to hear you can do some sightseeing though and get some 'vacation' time together as a family. It's one heck of an adventure. You know that we are all with you in spirit.
Fantastic memories!
I think it would make for a wonderful story for the Anglican (diocesan paper)

Love to you all
Josie, Bill and the kids

Felt like bursting into the Sydney Carter lyric : "One More Step Along the World I go" when I read this (do you sing this in church?)
Words are quite appropriate for your journey so far.
We are delighted to imagine you bonding with Jack and his fascination with his new surroundings and toys.
Today I had to go to a conference in the Boardroom at Old Trafford soccer ground (yes- Man Utd) At the end of the day I went into the Megastore but no kit for 9-12mth babies in stock until August. Eileen will be distraught. I'm sure you are very upset that we will not be bringing a case full of Man Utd clothing!!! David thinks this is a sign that Jack really should have a Liverpool kit.
We've always looked forward to our trips to Canada but I've never wished July would go so fast as this year!! Can't wait to see you all and let Jack play with his Man Utd ball - which I did buy today!
Please give Jack another big hug & kiss from us. Much love to you all. Counting the days; God bless, love B&Dxx

Must be amazing and facinating the differences in people and places in the city compared to home.
Glad a date is set .. at least this time we won't be fighting traffic to get to the airport. At least 2 cars will be there. One for you 3 and the other for luggage . I read Bev / David re the Mancheter / u'td ball
very neat . Jack will love it I am sure . ( The world cup u -20 is in Canada right now and I have to admit I am becoming a " football " fan )

I told your work Taylor you are back on the Monday July 16th . If anything changes I will let them know. House looks fine . ( just the grass slightly brown ) You are obviously getting all the rain .. Haven't had much here at all .

Hope you are all well and you are managing with the heat .
What kind of places are you seeing in the city right now ?

Love you all lots
XoXoXo
